The little girl in the photos is Emily Koesters. Shortly after getting these pictures taken Emily was admitted to the hospital to undergo a kidney transplant which her daddy Joe donated. The kidney transplant was a success. However, since the operation there have been many other complications. This poor little angel has been ill for a very long time and has called the hospital home for about 2 years now. Emily's diagnosis is Schimke Immuno-Osseous Dysplasia (SIOD) and there are only 4 cases in the United States. You can read more on Emily's condition by entering into links provided below.
